2008 NY/PA Border Skirmish Series

 

LVS and MCR are pleased to announce an 8 race series for both the E-Mod’s and Street Stocks in 2008.  Each division will have 4 races at each track scheduled throughout the season.  At the conclusion of the series, awards will be paid based upon a point fund contributed to by the series participants and race tracks. 

 

Rules for each series are the same as normal MCR/LVS rules for each division and will be enforced by the individual tracks technical inspector.

 

An entry fee of $10.00 per car per event is mandatory to participate in the event.  The entry fee must be paid prior to the evening’s heat racing to be eligible to participate.  A representative from MCR/LVS will collect the entry fee.

 

Points will be awarded for both heat races and feature events.  These points are separate from any season long points the track may have.  Points will be awarded to the driver and not a car number.  In the event of disqualification from a race for either an on or off track incident or a rules violation, no points will be awarded for that event and your entry fee will not be returned.

 

Purse money will be paid by the track in their normal means of payment.

 

Race Lineups will be handled by each track under their normal lineup procedure.  The maximum number of cars participating in each event is also at the discretion of the individual racetracks.  The distance of the heat and feature races will also be at the discretion of the individual race tracks.

Points:

 

Points are awarded for heat races as follows:

1^st – 3; 2^nd – 2, 3^rd-1

 

There are no points awarded for consi races.

 

Bonus Points – 30 Bonus points awarded to all drivers entering all 8 shows.  Drivers must participate in a heat race in all shows to be eligible for the bonus points.

 

Feature Races will have points awarded as follows:

The point fund will consist of all money ($10.00/driver/race) paid by the drivers as an entry fee plus $100.00 per race per track and will be distributed as follows:

 

                                             1^st           -              40% of the money raised

                                             2^nd          -              30% of the money raised

                                             3^rd          -              15% of the money raised

                                             4^th          -              10% of the money raised

                                             5^th          -              5% of the money raised

 

In addition, trophies will be awarded to the top 5 point finishers.

 

Payouts:

 

Payouts are for features only.  There is no pay for heat races or consolation races, if necessary
